My name is Christin. I am a wife and mama to two amazing boys, a bookworm, coffee connoisseur, runner, and Hufflepuff. I find balance in exploring nature, soaking in the fleeting connections, emotions, and personalities of childhood, and preserving their memories in heirloom photographs for future generations to uncover.

Last year, I embarked on a new journey at home. After ten years in publishing, I made a commitment to our family health, a more intentional pace, and renewed presence. Finally saying no and I’m sorry to my family less, and to the “other” stuff more, I realized I’d been holding my breath. I could at last begin to appreciate the profoundly beautiful tiny moments that my heart had been missing.

I hope to uncover and share with you here a little of our corner of childhood. Beauty in the dancing flecks of sunlight on a carpet where my oldest lies with a copy of Stuart Little or his latest Boxcar Children. Wild laughter punctuating rounds off a diving board or the quiet concentration of a tiny Wilderness Explorer on the beach. The simple joy of picking pockets full of wildflower or wheat on a trail at sunset.

I hope also perhaps to encourage you to take your own “deep breath,” visit the goats on the farm, eat the ice cream, get in the frame with your kids, and savor the season.

And if you share my passion for nature, warm light, or summer play, I would be honored to help preserve this chapter in your own unique family record of childhood.

But beauty seen is never lost,
God’s colors all are fast;
